Myrtle beach international airport had more people-traffic through last month than this time last year which shows we are growing, and soon they will start planning on enlarging the airport to be ready for when we are at full capacity. Fall bike week just ended, the weather was not the best, it rained on and off, but it was the great on Sunday. People lined up along highway 17 on there golf carts to watch the activities. It is sad when the bikes leave, although you can hear yourself think again. However, to think that many people have a hobby and can come together from all over is a wonderful thing. It is October and the fall season is here. The area has gone into Auction mania. Saturday was a sad day for many when the properties that came up to auction could not even get a bid, yet there are a few other companies still planning on an auction. We will see if that is the way to go. It does not look like it is. We have too much going on here in Myrtle Beach to not know that the market will come back. It will just take a little time to even out. Construction is going well on several of the new features around town, such as the new Hard Rock Theme park, and Ruth Chris Steakhouse.
